How Education Can Promote Equity and Social Justice

Education is, per se, a bridge, a tool through which equity and social justice can be fostered by providing everyone with a fair chance to gain knowledge and opportunities. When inclusive teaching is in place within schools and universities, to support all students and their needs rather than based on race, class, or gender, this serves to tear down barriers. A thesis journal publication Canada has examined how education systems can produce climates conducive to diversity and equal participation. An educational system addressing injustice in education could become society's tool in changing the world into one of justice and fairness. This way, education stops being just an issue of imparting knowledge but becomes a more profound issue in creating a world wherein everyone is allowed to prosper.
